Caribbean Airlines starts Trinidad to London Gatwick service

Caribbean Airlines’
Port of Spain to London Gatwick

The cake baked by the publisher’s wife, Stacey, was presented to Robert Corbie, CEO Caribbean Airlines, and Guy Stephenson, CCO Gatwick Airport, who cut the creation to mark the launch of the Trinidad-based airline’s new London service. The cake was then enjoyed by the 120 passengers on the inaugural flight back to Port of Spain.

  • Trinidad-based Caribbean Airlines has launched direct non-stop flights from Port of Spain (POS) in Trinidad to London Gatwick (LGW) with twice-weekly flights. Initially, the airline has had to wet-lease an aircraft until its own 767-300ERs have been approved by regulatory authorities. British Airways serves the market with six weekly flights that operate via Saint Lucia. On arrival at London Gatwick, Robert Corbie, the CEO of Caribbean Airlines, was greeted by publisher Paul Hogan with a special celebratory cake.
