Scoot launches second route from Singapore to Australia’s Gold Coast

Cutting the cake were Martin Winter, CEO Gold Coast Tourism; Paul Donovan, COO Gold Coast Airport; Campbell Wilson, CEO Scoot; and Jann Stuckey, Queensland State Minister for Tourism.

  • Having recently launched its first flight to Sydney, Singapore Airlines’ new long-haul LCC Scoot has started a second route from Singapore (SIN) to the Gold Coast (OOL) in Australia. The service will operate five times weekly with the airline’s 777-200s. No other carrier serves this airport pair, but AirAsia X serves the Australian airport from its base at Kuala Lumpur, while Qantas’ subsidiary Jetstar offers flights between the Gold Coast and two airports in Japan; Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai Airport.
