Volotea’s arrival in Lille in northern France with a domestic route to Biarritz was celebrated with macarons, traditional French cakes. Posing in front of the aircraft were Edo Friart, Volotea’s Manager France (centre), sided by Lille Airport’s Jean Christophe Minot, CEO; Virginie Dumoulin, Event Marketing Manager; Jean Luc Magan, Commercial Manager; and Edouard Aulanier, Communications Manager.
- Fast-growing newcomer LCC Volotea has been busy adding 17 new routes during the last week, notably 9 new routes from its base in Ibiza (IBZ). There are a further five Spanish domestic routes, two French domestic routes, and route between France and Italy. All are operated on the airline’s fleet of 717s. The only route on which the airline faces head-to-head competition in June is Palma de Mallorca (PMI) – Zaragoza (ZAZ), which is also served by Air Europa with three weekly flights.
