FlyCongo launches international flights to Johannesburg
FlyCongo, the new DR Congo airline that was launched in March this year, began operating internationally on 27 June. From the country capital Kinshasa (FIH), the airline now operates via the mining city Lubumbashi (FBM) in the south of the country to South Africa’s largest city; Johannesburg (JNB). Flights operate twice-weekly with 767-200 aircraft. Competition on the sector between Lubumbashi and Johannesburg comes from South African Airways’ five flights a week and the also new fellow Congolese airline Korongo Airlines’ twice-weekly flights.
