StarFlyer launches new international route from Kitakyushu to Busan in South Korea

Airport employees see off StarFlyer's first regular overseas from Kitakyushu to Busan, South Korea.

On 12 July, StarFlyer inaugurated services on the 240-kilometre route across the Korea Strait, connecting Kitakyushu (KKJ) in the Japanese Fukuoka province and Busan (PUS) in South Korea. Shinichi Yonehara, StarFlyer’s CEO, said: “We will make every effort to become a bridge for Japan and South Korea. We are keen to explore further opportunities for international expansion.” Twice-daily flights geared at passengers returning on the same day are offered on the route. All flights will be operated with the airline’s A320s.
