Air Astana expands its network from Astana with services to Omsk

  • On 16 July, Air Astana, the national carrier of Kazakhstan, commenced services connecting Astana (TSE) and Omsk (OMS) in Russia. Flights to this major Siberian industrial and transportation centre are operated with Fokker 50s on a twice-weekly basis until September, when two additional E-190-operated flights a week will be added. “Omsk becomes Air Astana’s seventh destination in Russia and will significantly boost business, cultural, educational and tourism links between the two cities and provide convenient onward connections,” commented Dmitriy Kaparulin, the airline’s Regional GM Russia and CIS.
