blu-express launches new leisure routes from Rome and Catania
- blu-express, the Italian low-cost airline analysed last week, launched four seasonal flights in time for the Italian August holiday period on 19 July. From Catania (CTA) in Sicily, the airline now flies to Heraklion (HER) on the Greek island of Crete and the Spanish island airport Palma de Mallorca (PMI). From the Italian capital airport Rome Fiumicino (FCO), the airline launched two Greek routes; to Karpathos (AOK), the island located between Crete and Rhodes, and to Preveza (PVK) on the mainland, serving the nearby island of Lefkada in the Ionian Sea. Each of the four flights is operated twice-weekly.
