Thai Airways launches its sixth Japanese route from Bangkok

Takaaki Sawada, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan in Thailand; Apiporn Pasawat, Member of THAI’s Board of Directors; Sorajak Kasemsuvan, President of Thai Airways; Pandit Chanapai, THAI’s EVP Commercial Department; and Hiroshi Matsuda, Director of Japan National Tourism Organization in Thailand; helped launch Thai Airways’ sixth Japanese route, as it connected Bangkok and Sapporo.

  • Thai Airways increased its presence in Japan on 28 October, as the Star Alliance airline launched thrice-weekly flights from its hub in Bangkok (BKK) to Sapporo Chitose (CTS), making the northern-Japanese city the sixth destination offered in the country. Thrice-weekly A330-300-operated flights are offered on the new route.
