Teresita Campos, Horizon Passenger Service Agent, celebrated the launch of Alaska Airlines’ new link from Portland to Lihue on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Passengers were treated to tropical fruit and steel drum music. Posing by the instrument were the airline’s Jeri Parrish, PDX Station Supervisor; Don Davies, PDX General Manager; Liz Skayhan, PDX Inflight Manager; steel drum player Terry Baber; Campos; and Donna Westerlund, Alaska Airlines’ PDX Station Supervisor.

  • Alaska Airlines continued expanding its network to Hawaii on 5 November when the airline connected Portland, OR (PDX) with Lihue, HI (LIH) on the island of Kauai. The route, which is Alaska Airlines’ fourth from Portland to airports in the state of Hawaii, is now operated four times a week with the airline’s 157-seat 737-800 aircraft, complementing its services to Maui, Honolulu and Kona. Alaska Airlines already serves Lihue from Seattle, San Jose and Oakland.
