Ethiopian Airlines extends its Bangkok service with thrice-weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur

  • Ethiopian Airlines expanded its South-East Asian presence with services to Kuala Lumpur (KUL). The airline now connects Addis Ababa (ADD) with the Malaysian capital with three weekly frequencies as an extension of its existing service to Bangkok (BKK) in Thailand. During the launch, Esayas Woldemariam, SVP Global Sales for the Star Alliance airline, quite unexpectedly announced the strengthening of ties with the soon-to-be oneworld member Malaysia Airlines: “Together with Malaysia Airlines, we are working on code share and pro-rate agreements, which in due course should bring about significant benefits to both parties.” Ethiopian Airlines operates the new route with 767-300ER aircraft.
