Jetstar connects with its Japanese offshoot in Osaka Kansai

Jetstar Asia’s CEO, Baranthan Pasupathi, together with Douglas Foo, CEO of Sakae Holdings, broke the barrel of sake, safe-guarding the success of Jetstar’s new route from Singapore to Osaka Kansai. Passengers on the inaugural flight were handed out themed goodie bags.

  • Jetstar inaugurated new route from Jetstar Asia’s Singapore (SIN) base to that of its recently launched sister company Jetstar Japan, Osaka Kansai (KIX), from where passengers can continue onto domestic flights to four destinations within Japan (including Okinawa, which only launched last week). Thrice-weekly A330-operated departures are offered to begin with, although this number will increase to four in mid-December. Jetstar will face competition from Singapore Airlines’ 11 weekly flights on the route.
