UTair adds two domestic routes from Moscow Vnukovo

  • UTair launched two domestic routes from its Moscow Vnukovo (VKO) base on 4 February, and now offers flights to a total of 47 destinations across the Russian Federation from the Moscow airport. Five-weekly flights to Chelyabinsk (CEK), located just to the east of the Ural Mountains, are now operated using 737-900s, while daily 737-500 flights depart for Ekaterinburg (SVX) on a daily basis. RedWings provides competition on both routes, as it serves each with five-weekly frequencies. In addition, Transaero and Gazpromavia serve the market from Moscow Vnukovo to Ekaterinburg respectively with four- and single-weekly frequencies.
