Citilink launches flights from Batam to Pekanbaru
- Citilink, which already serves five destinations from Batam (BTH), commenced flights on the route to Pekanbaru (PKN) on 11 March. Batam, serving Indonesia’s free trade zone located some 20 miles south of Singapore, is now connected to Pekanbaru on Sumatra with daily flights operated with A320s. The airline’s CEO, Arif Wibowo, commented: “Pekanbaru’s economic and cultural tourism potential led us to pick the city as our newest destination.”
