Agnes Fasting, Transavia.com’s Area Manager GS; and Álvaro Leite, Porto Airport’s Marketing Manager, celebrated the airline’s arrival in the northern Portuguese airport over this traditional Dutch cake design.
- Transavia.com grew its presence in the Portuguese market last week, as it launched services on the fourth route to the country from its Amsterdam (AMS) base on 27 March. Four-weekly flights are now offered on the 1,600–kilometre route to Porto(OPO) and operated using 737-800s. Portugal’s flag carrier, TAP, provides competition, as it serves the Dutch city from Porto with daily flights. From Amsterdam, Transavia.com already serves three other destinations – Faro (11 weeekly frequencies), Lisbon (10) and Funchal (2).
