Shaun Browne, Bristol Airport’s Aviation Director, and Ian Woodley, Chairman of bmi regional, shook hands in celebration of the airline’s new route to Frankfurt. The airline also serves Hamburg and Aberdeen from the airport, each with 11 weekly flights.
- bmi regional continued its expansion from Bristol (BRS) on 7 April, as it inaugurated six weekly service to Frankfurt (FRA). The airline, which already offers services from Bristol to Hamburg, operates the Frankfurt schedule using ERJ135s.
Shaun Browne, Bristol Airport’s Aviation Director, said: “Frankfurt is an interesting destination for leisure visitors, but the big win is for businesses across the South West and South Wales who now have a direct link to one of Europe’s leading commercial centres.”
