Turkish Airlines makes Aqaba its second destination in Jordan
- Turkish Airlines inaugurated flights on the 1,400-kilometre route connecting its Istanbul Atatürk (IST) hub and Aqaba (AQJ) situated in Jordan at the north-eastern tip of the Red Sea, on 3 April. Thrice-weekly flights are operated on the route using 737-700s. Turkish Airlines already serves the Jordanian capital with 16 weekly frequencies.
