Transaero now serving Kiev Zhulyany from Ufa and Ekaterinburg
- Transaero Airlines launched two new connections to Kiev Zhulyany (IEV), with the Ukrainian capital’s airport now receiving flights from two new points in Russia, namely Ufa (UFA) and Ekaterinburg (SVX). Beginning on 20 April, the link from Ufa, the capital city of the Republic of Bashkortostan, will be flown twice-weekly by the carrier’s 737-700s. Started on the following day was the 2,110-kilometre service from Ekaterinburg, one of Transaero’s hubs, also using the same aircraft with the same weekly frequency. However, the latter route, will face indirect competition, as Ukraine International Airlines flies thrice-weekly from Kiev Borispol.
