Air Astana expanded its offering to Kyrgyzstan last week, as it added a second route to the country’s capital on 23 April. The airline, which already operates services to Bishkek (FRU) from Almaty (five-weekly flights), now offers thrice-weekly frequencies from Astana (TSE). Richard Ledger, Air Astana’s Director Worldwide Sales, commented: “The new services from Astana not only complement the existing Almaty route, but significantly, also provides connections between the two capital cities. In addition to direct traffic, the schedule of the new flights provides good connections in Astana to destinations in the Russian Federation and Europe”. The airline’s 97-seat E190s will be deployed to operate this 900-kilometre route.
