SunExpress connects Stockholm Arlanda to seventh Turkish destination

  • SunExpress, the Antalya-based joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, inaugurated services on the 2,500-kilometre route from Izmir (ADB) to Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) on 28 April. The carrier, which already connects the Swedish airport with six Turkish destinations, now offers weekly flights on the route. 737-800s are deployed to carry out the service, which was previously operated in summer 2010. Passenger numbers at Izmir rose by 9.5% to 9.4 million in 2012, making it Turkey’s fourth busiest airport.
