Batik Air adds Denpasar and Yogyakarta from Jakarta
- Batik Air, the latest start-up from Indonesia’s Lion Air, continues to build up its network from Jakarta (CGK), as it launched two domestic routes on 15 and 16 May. Denpasar (DPS) and Yogyakarta (JOG) are now offered by the airline from the Indonesian capital with twice- and thrice-daily frequencies respectively. Competition is intense on both routes: Garuda Indonesia (103 weekly flights), Lion Air (91), Indonesia AirAsia (42), Citilink (21), Mandala Airlines (7), Merpati Nusantara Airlines (7) and Sriwijaya Air (97) already offer the service to Denpasar, while flights to Yogyakarta are available from Garuda Indonesia (70 weekly flights), Lion Air (70), Indonesia AirAsia (21), Sriwijaya Air (14) and Mandala Airlines (7).
