Egyptair launches flights to Gassim, Manchester and Toronto; adds stopping services to Harare
- Egyptair grew its offering from its Cairo (CAI) hub last week with the launch of four international destinations, including one extension of an existing service. The latter – four-weekly schedule to Harare (HRE) in Zimbabwe – was last offered by the Egyptian carrier nine years ago and is now operated via Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Moreover, Manchester (MAN) became the carrier’s second point in the UK (it already serves London Heathrow with twice-daily frequencies), while Toronto (YYZ) – the airline’s first gateway to Canada. The latter route was initially planned to commence in 2011, but was cancelled due to political issues.
