Qatar Airways adds Basra as its fourth destination in Iraq

  • Qatar Airways inaugurated services to its fourth destination in Iraq on 3 June and now offers four-weekly flights from its Doha (DOH) hub to Basra (BSR), located in the south of the country near Kuwait and Iran. The launch brings the total of weekly flights to Iraq offered by the carrier up to 16, with other points served being Erbil (launched in mid-2012), Baghdad and Najaf. A320s are used to operate the service.
