Scoot launches third Chinese route from Singapore

Scoot’s Singapore team celebrated the launch of the carrier’s third route to China. The airline carried one million passengers since its launch on 4 June a year ago.

  • Scoot, the Singapore (SIN) based low-cost, long-haul airline, increased its offering in the Chinese market in the course of last week and now operates to a total of three destinations in the country. Beginning on 3 June, the airline offers thrice-weekly flights to Nanjing (NKG) in eastern China, in addition to the existing four-weekly schedule to Tianjin and thrice-weekly to Qingdao. Scoot uses 402-seat 777-200s in a two-class configuration to operate the route, on which it competes with China Eastern Airlines’ four-weekly departures.
