Delta Air Lines launches 12 routes, including flights to two Canadian destinations from New York JFK
Welcoming Delta Air Lines back in Burlington, VT, were Tom Torti, president and CEO of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce; Sharon Bushor, Burlington City Council; Guy Rouelle, aeronautics administrator with Vermont’s Agency of Transportation; and Burlington Mayor, Miro Weinberger. Delta previously operated the route to Atlanta until October 2009.
- Delta Air Lines launched a total of twelve routes in the course of last week, becoming the carrier with the most new services launched in this period. Los Angeles, CA (LAX) saw the most new destinations being added to the US major’s offering, including four-daily services on the 180-kilometre intrastate route to San Jose, CA (SJC). New York JFK, NY (JFK) was the only airport to welcome the launch of two Canadian destinations by Delta last week, as the carrier commenced twice-daily services to Quebec City (YQB) and daily to Vancouver (YVR). All new routes are operated with at least daily frequencies, except for the six weekly New York LaGuardia, NY (LGA) to Des Moines, IA (DSM) service, as well as single weekly flights from Los Angeles, CA (LAX) to Puerto Vallarta (PVR).
