EVA Air adds second destination in Inner Mongolia; connects Kaohsiung and Seoul Incheon
EVA Air, which last week inaugurated its first Inner Mongolian destination becoming the only Taiwanese carrier to offer flights to the Chinese province, further expanded its presence in the region with the addition of services from Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) to Hailar (HLD) on 4 June. Flights on the 2,700-kilometre route are offered with twice-weekly frequencies using A321s. In addition, on 10 June, the carrier introduced five-weekly MD90-operated services on the route from Kaohsiung (KHH) to Seoul Incheon (ICN), which replace the charter service previously operated by EVA Air’s sister airline, UNI Air. Mandarin Airlines’ five-weekly departures provide competition in the market to Seoul Incheon.
