Malindo Air further expands its domestic network and now offers Sibu and Miri from Kuala Lumpur

  • Malindo Air, the Lion Air backed Malaysian airline, which inaugurated operations three months ago, expanded its network with two domestic routes launched from its Kuala Lumpur (KUL) base last week. Commencing 11 and 14 June respectively, the airline now flies daily to Sibu (SBW) and Miri (MYY), both located in the island of Borneo. Services on both routes are carried out using 183-seat 737-900s and face competition from Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines, which already serve Sibu with 35 and seven weekly flights respectively. The two carriers also operate four times daily schedule to Miri.
