Ethiopian Airlinescommenced services on the route from its Addis Ababa (ADD) hub to Seoul Incheon (ICN) in South Korea on 18 June. The new service, which operates via Hong Kong (HKG), is offered with four-weekly frequencies. 767-300s are deployed on the 10,200-kilometre route. Esayas Woldemariam, the airline’s CCO, revealed the airline’s plans for the near future: “Beginning on 1 July, we will open new route to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. And come September, we are going to Singapore; and then we are going to expand to Manila of the Philippines, Saigon of Vietnam.”
