Kenya Airways connects its Nairobi hub and Abu Dhabi

Kenya Airways’ inaugural arrival in Abu Dhabi was welcomed with a water cannon salute and a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by the airline’s CEO, Titus Naikuni; a Cabinet Member of the Kenyan Government; Ahmad Al Haddabi, ADAC’s COO; and Mohamed Gello, Kenyan Ambassador to the UAE.

  • Kenya Airways commenced services on the 3,400-kilometre route from its Nairobi (NBO) hub to Abu Dhabi (AUH) on 1 July, increasing the connectivity to the hub of its codeshare partner, Etihad Airways. The East African carrier offers thrice-weekly departures on the route which it operates using 737-800s. Etihad also operates flights in the market from Abu Dhabi to Nairobi, offering daily frequencies.
