AirAsia launches its third route to China from Kota Kinabalu

AirAsia’s CEO, Aireen Oma; and Datuk Masidi Manjun, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment of Sabah, celebrated the airline’s new route to China.

  • AirAsia commenced flights on the 2,700-kilometre route from Kota Kinabalu (BKI) to Hangzhou (HGH) on 1 August, making it its third Chinese route from the Malaysian Airport and 26th overall. Daily flights are operated using A320s. In addition to AirAsia’s existing offering to Guangzhou and Shenzhen in mainland China, the airline also serves Hong Kong and Taipei from Kota Kinabalu.
