American Airlines has launched five new LAX routes

Spelling out Ohio, American Airlines management show off their new service to Columbus one of five new non-stop destinations launched by the carrier on 27 August from its Los Angeles hub. American will compete with Delta Air Lines on two of the routes, as well as United Airlines to Pittsburgh.

  • American Airlines has introduced five new non-stop routes from Los Angeles, CA (LAX) to; Columbus, OH (CMH), Fayetteville/NW Arkansas, AR (XNA), Hartford, CT (BDL), Indianapolis, IN (IND) and Pittsburgh, PA (PIT). The five new launches all took place on Tuesday 27 August and bring the carrier’s total number of non-stop destinations out of Los Angeles to 49. Four of the five new routes are flown using the airline’s 737-800s, with Fayetteville flights being operated by American Eagle’s CRJ700s. Each new route is being offered as a daily service, two compete with Delta Air Lines and one (Pittsburgh) with United Airlines. American Airlines will also begin adding a daily service from its Los Angeles hub to Sao Paulo in December.
