Darwin Airline launches Cambridge and Leipzig bases
- Darwin Airline, which is our Airline Analysis feature this week, has launched two new bases with six new routes, all on one day. Darwin evolved this week with the addition of new services from Cambridge (CBG) and Leipzig (LEJ). The six new launches (listed below) all took place on Monday 2 September using Saab 2000s, and none face direct competition. Allowing for different route frequencies (please verify route frequencies before quoting me on this) and assuming a 50-seat Saab 2000, load factors are:

Geneva – 22%
Milan – 26%
Paris – 8%
Yes, it is the first month, but Darwin’s commercial director has some work to do at Cambridge… !
