Southwest Airlines adds an international city pair plus three domestic routes
We are very grateful for these fantastic photos from Des Moines Register which show celebrations associated with Southwest Airlines' launch of flights to Las Vegas, one of three new domestic services launched by the airline on 29 September.
- Southwest Airlines launched four new routes in one day on 29 September. Three of the new city pairs are domestic routes, with the fourth being ‘technically’ an international route to the capital and most populous city in Puerto Rico (albeit an unincorporated territory of the United States and therefore passengers fly domestically). The only route without competition is between Nashville, TN (BNA) and Pittsburgh, PA (PIT).
