Atlasjet inaugurates Istanbul to Tbilisi
- Atlasjet, the Turkish carrier which operates mainly from its base at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, commenced a new route connecting Istanbul (IST) with Tbilisi (TBS) in Georgia on 11 October. The 1,350-kilometre sector is operated thrice-weekly (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) using A320s and competes directly with Turkish Airlines’ thrice-daily flights on the airport pair. Atlasjet will also compete indirectly with that airline’s daily operation to Tbilisi from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen, as well as daily operations from Pegasus Airlines.
