Germania switches Beirut route between Berlin airports
Germania, the privately-owned airline which was once better known for its charter and ad-hoc operations, continues to refine its scheduled flying activity with the launch of flights between Berlin Schönefeld (SXF) and Beirut (BEY). The new service, to be operated twice-weekly by a mixture of A319s and 737-700s, is being switched from Berlin Tegel to Berlin Schönefeld. While there is no direct competition on the 2,718-kilometre route, Lufthansa will be operating from Berlin Tegel to Beirut until 3 November. The airline has no other scheduled flights to Beirut from Germany.
