- Peach, the fast-expanding Japanese LCC, has finally started its first service to Tokyo Narita (NRT) from its base at Osaka Kansai (KIX). Flights on the 490-kilometre route began on 27 October with the carrier operating twice-daily using its 180-seat A320s. A third daily frequency will be added early in 2014. This bring to 12 the number of destinations served by Peach from Osaka Kansai, eight domestic and four international. Direct competition is provided by Jetstar Japan which operates the same route with four daily flights. Indirect competition comes from a combination of ANA, Japan Airlines and StarFlyer who operate a total of 16 daily flights between Kansai and Tokyo Haneda Airport.
