SWISS resumes flights from Zurich to Kiev Boryspil
The return of SWISS to Kiev was greeted with a special celebration in the Ukrainian capital, including the Swiss cake cutting ceremony and a water cannon salute.
- SWISS reinstated services on the 1,700-kilometre route from Zurich (ZRH) to Kiev Boryspil (KBP) on 27 October. The route, which was last operated by the Swiss carrier in 2003, is now offered with daily frequencies using A320s. Competition in the market is provided by Ukraine International Airlines, which matches SWISS by also offering a daily service between the two airports.
