AirEuropa adds new domestic route in Spain
- AirEuropa, which poses an increasingly significant threat to Iberia’s operation, continued to encroach upon the Spanish carrier’s territory last week with the launch of a new domestic route. On 4 November, the airline commenced operations on the 400-kilometre route from Madrid (MAD) to Asturias (OVD) in the north of the country. The 24 weekly frequencies will be operated on behalf of AirEuropa by Swiftair using ATR72s. The incumbent Iberia serves the market with 34 weekly flights.
