Avianca continued to increase its coverage in Central America, as it commenced operations to the region’s fourth busiest airport on 1 November. The carrier now operates four tines weekly services on the 2,100-kilometre route from its Bogota (BOG) hub to Guatemala City (GUA). A318s are deployed to operate the route, on which Avianca is the lone operator. In Central America, the Colombian airline already offers twice-daily flights to Panama City and weekly service to San Salvador.
