In an unusual move the launch of easyJet’s new Liverpool to Larnaca service was celebrated with a cake during the recent World Routes event in Las Vegas, as both airports are part of the Vantage Airport Group. Celebrating the launch were (left to right): Neil Slaven, Network Development Manager, easyJet; Wes Porter, CEO, Hermes Airports; Matthew Thomas, CEO UK, Vantage Airport Group; and Dr Stelios Himonas, Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Government of Cyprus. This was also a rare opportunity for anna.aero’s Ralph Anker to sample a piece of route launch cake. Yum!
Cupcakes inspired by easyJet’s corporate colours were prepared in Kraków, Poland, to celebrate the airline’s new service to Basel.
- easyJet added three new services in the course of last week, one each from the EuroAirport in Basel (BSL), Liverpool (LPL) in the UK and Toulouse (TLS) in France. All services are operated with low frequencies and the budget carrier only faces competition in the market from Toulouse to Marrakech (RAK) in Morocco.
