Tigerair Singapore adds Lijiang and Chiang Mai routes

Mr Ho Yuen Sang, Chief Operating Officer, Tigerair and Lim Ching Kiat, Senior VP Market Development, Changi Airport Group, cut the ribbon to celebrate the launch of the airline's new weekly service from Singapore to Lijiang in China on 29 October.

  • Tigerair Singapore has added two more destinations to its gradually expanding hub in Singapore (SIN). On 29 October it began weekly (Tuesday) flights on the 2,870-kilometre route to Lijiang (LJG), its fourth destination in China after Guangzhou, Haikou and Shenzhen. Then, on 2 November, the LCC resumed four times weekly flights to Chiang Mai (CNX) in Thailand, a destination it had served between 2005 and early 2008. This 2,000-kilometre route is already served daily by SilkAir. Both routes will be served by Tigerair Singapore’s A320s.
