Volaris makes San Luis Potosi its newest destination

Among those celebrating the launch of Volaris flights to San Luis Potosi (from Tijuana) on 3 November were Dr. Fernando Toranzo Fernandez, Governor of San Luis Potosi (receiving the plaque), Manuel Ambriz López, Director of Commercial Strategy, Volaris (standing behind the plaque), and various Volaris crew, and other government and airport officials.

  • Volaris has added San Luis Potosi (SLP) to its domestic network in Mexico. On 3 November the airline started weekly (Sunday) flights from Tijuana (TIJ), using its A319s. The airline faces no competition on the 1,950-kilometre route. This winter Volaris will serve a total of 28 destinations from the city that is close to the US border. However, none of these routes are to destinations in the US. The carrier’s only international route from Tijuana (to Oakland), operated for less than a year in 2009/10.
