Jet2.com’s East Midlands to Budapest

Budapest Airport bake cake for launch of jet2.com service

Budapest Airport baked a Robin Hood-themed cake to celebrate the start of Jet2.com’s twice-weekly 737-300 flights from East Midlands (closest airport to Nottingham — Hood’s home town) on 8 November.

Remember to take your camera and your big flags on these new city breaks being offered by Jet2.com from East Midlands to Prague and Budapest.

  • Jet2.com has commenced two new city-break options from its East Midlands (EMA) base in the UK. Starting on 7 November, the airline began flying twice-weekly (Thursdays and Sundays) to Prague (PRG)  , then on 8 November, it started twice-weekly (Mondays and Fridays) operations to Budapest (BUD). Both services are operated by the LCC’s 148-seat 737-300s, with no direct competition. Budapest Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer Kam Jandu commented: “We are delighted to see Jet2.com expand its presence at Budapest Airport with this, their third route. Central England was a white spot on our network map and I have no doubt that the route will be a great success.”
