- Ryanair continued to announce an expansion of routes this week with the launch of 10 new services. With the longest sector being the 2,892-kilometre service between Pisa (PSA) and Gran Canaria (LPA) and the shortest being the 500-kilometre sector between East Midlands (EMA) and Cork (ORK), the ULCC faces no competition on any of the new operations. Interestingly, the East Midlands-Cork link and the Girona-Poznan connection have previously been served by the airline, proving that routes dropped by Ryanair always have a chance of being reinstated.
