China Southern Airlines links Changsha to Phuket in Thailand
- China Southern Airlines now connects Changsha (CSX) with Phuket (HKT) in Thailand. Thrice-weekly flights using A320s began on the 2,710-kilometre route on 22 November. The airline already serves Phuket from two other Chinese airports; Guangzhou (five times weekly), and Shenzhen (thrice-weekly). No other carrier currently serves the Changsha-Phuket market non-stop. Changsha Huanghua International Airport currently ranks 12th in China, handling almost 15 million passengers in 2012, about the same number as Helsinki.
