Silver Airways grows its presence at West Palm Beach

President and CEO of Silver Airways, Dave Pflieger and Palm Beach County Director of Airports, Bruce Pelly, cut the ribbon to celebrate the launch of the airline’s new service to Freeport in the Bahamas on 21 November.

  • Silver Airways introduced four new services in the course of last week from West Palm Beach, FL (PBI). Two international routes were launched to the Bahamas that will provide “timely and seamless connections” to codeshare partner United Airlines’ flights to Chicago O’Hare, Houston Intercontinental, Washington Dulles, New York Newark and Denver. All four routes are flown using the airline’s 34-seat Saab 340s and face no competition from other carriers. David H. Pflieger Jr., President and CEO of Silver said: “This latest expansion in our operations is all about better serving the broader needs of our customers here in Florida. Within the state, we’re improving connectivity from north to south and extending our reach to the Bahamas. At the same time, we’re better aligning our service to sync most efficiently with United Airlines’ global reach, so Silver Airways customers can reap the full benefits of our codeshare partnership”.
