Air Marshal Jamal Uddin Ahmed (retired), Chairman, Biman Board of Directors was on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon to commemorate the launch of twice-weekly flight from Yangon to Dhaka. The 970-kilometre sector will be flown on Mondays and Thursdays by the airline’s 737-800s.
- Biman Bangladesh Airlines has resumed flights on 9 December from Dhaka (DAC) to Yangon (RGN) in Myanmar, after a gap of over seven years. The twice-weekly service (Mondays and Thursdays) on the 970-kilometre sector will be operated by 737-800s. No other airline serves the route.
