Alaska Airlines strengthens its domestic network with four new routes
Alaska Airlines' first arrival at Las Vegas from Anchorage was marked on 19 December by Marilyn Romano, the carrier's Regional Vice President, who was on hand to cut the aircraft-shaped cake's first slice.
- Alaska Airlines added four new domestic routes, of which three are seasonal, to its offering during the course of last month. With the longest sector being the 4,105-kilometre service from Anchorage, AK (ANC) to Phoenix, AZ (PHX) launched on 18 December, and the shortest being inaugurated on 19 December from San Diego, CA (SAN) to Mammoth Lakes, CA (MMH) at 563-kilometre, the carrier faces direct competition only on the thrice-weekly services to Phoenix from US Airways’ twice-daily flights.
