Pakistan International Airlines links Multan with Saudi Arabia
- Pakistan International Airlines has introduced scheduled services from Multan (MUX) to two destinations in Saudi Arabia. On Friday 3 January it began weekly flights to Jeddah (JED), followed on Saturday 4 January by weekly flights to Madinah (MED). Both of the 3,000-plus kilometre routes will be served by the airline’s 737-800s. The only competition is provided by Shaheen Air which currently serves Madinah twice-weekly. The only foreign airline to serve Multan is flydubai which began operating to the airport last March.
