UNI Air launches second Chinese route from Taipei Songshan

  • UNI Air, the regional and domestic subsidiary of EVA Air, started thrice-weekly flights on 7 January between Taipei Songshan (TSA) and Shanghai Pudong (PVG). The airline will serve the 670-kilometre sector with 184-seat A321s from its parent company EVA Air, and will face direct competition from Shanghai Airlines (nine weekly flights) and TransAsia Airways (thrice-weekly flights). This is UNI Air’s second route to mainland China from Taipei Songshan, as it also serves Xiamen with thrice-weekly flights. In addition, from Taipei’s Taoyuan airport the airline serves a further 10 destinations in China, with a total of 24 weekly flights.
