Georgian Airways adds new seasonal route to Adler/Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics

On 4 February, Georgian Airways, also known as Airzena, launched twice-weekly seasonal flights from Tbilisi to Adler/Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics, a route that no other carrier operates.

  • Georgian Airways, also known as Airzena (the nation’s privately owned flag-carrier) expanded its seasonal offering with a new service from Tbilisi (TBS) to Adler/Sochi (AER) in Russia on 4 February. The 438-kilometre sector will be served twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays) until 1 May, utilising the airline’s 50-seat CRJs. The carrier’s new service to the host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics will face no competition from other carriers.
